Courtyard Reno Downtown/Riverfront
Earlier this year, talk of a surprise birthday party for Nick’s great aunt in Reno came up. She turns 90 this year and we knew we wanted to be there and be part of it, so we booked a weekend trip down to celebrate with the family. We spent our first night in Reno and then drove the next day to the Carson City area. When I was looking a hotel in Reno, Nick’s parents were staying at the casinos downtown so we wanted to be close to that, but also be able to get out of the smoky casinos and have a normal hotel. This spot ended up being perfect!
LOVE
Location – When booking this hotel, we wanted something close to the casinos in downtown Reno but also a little removed. This hotel checked both of those boxes being just a quick 7-8 minute walk to the casinos like the El Dorado but was far enough away that we could get out of the smoke and machines. It’s right on the river and across the street from the baseball stadium, so the location couldn’t be better!
The Design – I’ve found Marriott’s, overall, to be really up on remodeling their properties in a modern and fun way. This hotel was no different. The design was great, fun and modern without being too much.
DIDN’T LOVE
Nothing! – We found nothing we didn’t like about this Marriott property!
TIPS
Parking is in the garage next door – when you arrive at the hotel, the parking garage is directly next door and free to park.
