Hotel Le Marianne – Paris, France
When we were booking our trip to Europe, our first stop was going to be Paris. Since we’ve been to Paris more times than I can count now and usually stay at the Hotel Le Notre Dame which has become our “regular” spot in the City of Light, we decided this time we wanted to try a different neighborhood. We landed on staying in a neighborhood somewhere on the Right Bank, since we usually lean more towards the Left Bank and after checking out a number of properties, landed on the Hotel Le Marianne right off of the Champs Elysses.
LOVE
Location to Champs Elysees- For a location really close to the Champs Elysees where all the major shopping is in Paris, you can’t beat this hotel. It’s far enough back in a more local area that it feels secluded but is close enough to major attractions that it’s a great spot to base yourself on the Right Bank.
Comfortable Bed – The bed was really comfortable!
Design – The design of the hotel was really nice, very subdued by very pleasant and comfortable with modern touches.
Great Wifi – The wifi was fast and efficient, everything we look for in a hotel!
View – The view at this hotel was one of my favorite things about it! We looked out to typical Parisian buildings and rooftops with the top of the Eiffel Tower shimmering in the distance. There is something about beautiful Parisian rooftop views that screams “I’m in Paris!”
DIDN’T LOVE
Location to Metro – While the location of the hotel to explore the Right Bank on foot is great, the location to major metro lines isn’t. It was kind of a pain to connect to the major metro lines and the RER lines from this location without a ton of changes. So if you’re planning on doing all your transportation on the Metro, this hotel is a little harder to do that with.
No room for suitcases – While the room was fairly good size, there wasn’t a lot of room to put luggage and we had a hard time moving around the room having to have our bags on the floor.
TIPS
Use Frankin D. Roosevelt Metro stop from Airport – While the metro line the hotel is closest to doesn’t get you many places in Paris for tourists, it’s easier to use the Franklin D. Roosevelt stop on the Champs Elysees, particularly coming from the airport on the Metro and then walking about 10 minutes from there to the hotel.
Land of Marvels was welcomed to the Hotel Le Marianne as a guest, though all opinions are my own for this review.
