For our most recent trip to New York City, there were a few foodie spots I’d had on my list forever so we decided to give them a try. One of those spots was one that I’ve seen a lot of bloggers post about in NYC – Mimi Chengs! We loved dumplings so we decided to give them a try and went to their location near Chinatown.
LOVE
Freshness – The food was super fresh and you could tell was made fresh for every order. Sometimes dumplings can get stale if made too far ahead of time and we were impressed with the quality and freshness at Mimi Chengs.
Interesting Combinations – Their dumpling fillings are different combinations that I’m used to and we decided to try both of their dumpling offerings that day – both of which were delicious and super interesting.
DIDN’T LOVE
Price – To be honest, I liked the dumplings but wasn’t overly blown away, especially for how expensive they are.
NOTES TO KEEP IN MIND
You can also do takeout from them – I might do takeout from Mimi Chengs in the future if we were staying nearby.
Not a lot of seating – If you’re going to eat in the restaurant, there aren’t a lot of tables. They did have some outside too but it was so hot in the middle of the day when we went that we opted to sit indoors and there were only 3 tables inside.
Headed to New York City?
