Nick and I spent the last week in London for our Summer vacation and since we’ve visited the city numerous times, this time, we just wanted to rest and eat, which is basically all we did, with a little shopping thrown in there also! London has become a major food city over the last decade and there are some incredible restaurants to try there. One thing that I’ve always loved about London is the diversity there and that definitely shows up in the food scene too with so many incredible places to eat and try different foods. So if you’re headed to London and wondering where to eat, here are all my favorites for a foodie week in London! But be sure to make a reservation for most of these – they fill up quick!
Dishoom

This has become a regular spot for us on our trips to London, with locations all over the city (we go to the Covent Garden one), you’ll usually wait in line to get in, but it goes fast! The Indian food and the ambience here have made it one of London’s cult classic restaurants and it’s worth the type. Get the Ruby Chicken, the samosas, and the rice pudding – divine.
Lima Cantina

We found this little spot in Covent Garden a few trips ago randomly and it’s become a go-to. It’s Peruvian-inspired and the food is always incredible. Our favorites are the Casava fries, the roast chicken, and the empanadas. The restaurant interior is so beautiful too and the service is always fantastic.
Barrafina

This little Spanish spot in Covent Garden (they have other locations too) is a must try if you like Spanish food. We go here each trip to London, usually for lunch, and sit at the counter. Order the Tortilla, the croquetas, and the Jamon Iberico. It’s pretty traditional Spanish but with high end ingredients.
Granger and Co.

This is another cult classic that has made its way around social media over the years in London but Granger and Co. is a great spot for breakfast or brunch. We’ve gone to their Kings Cross and Chelsea locations and both are always great. I love their eggs here – very uniquely made and always delicious!
Fallow

We tried this for the first time on our most recent trip after seeing a lot of hype online about it. It was overall a great meal and even though the menu is a little hard to know what to order, I really enjoyed it. The duck main entree was a stand out to me as well as the dessert!
34 Mayfair

One of my favorites in London for a celebration meal, this spot is especially beautiful around the holidays when it’s all decked out for Christmas. The food is always delicious and the service is always great!
Roast

We have been to Roast for several years now and it’s always a solid roast dinner when we need it. In a beautiful setting above Borough Market, the food is always delicious and the ambience is beautiful in the space.
Sushi Samba

We tried this for the first time this past trip and were blown away. With locations all over the world, the one in Covent Garden is a cool rainforest vibe inside and the food was incredible. Order the lobster taquitos, the Kobe Gyoza, and the sushi was out of this world.
Brindisa at Borough Market

For another Spanish spot that’s a little bit more casual, we love the Brindisa counter at Borough Market. We usually run by the market to pick up a few things when we’re in London and this is a great lunch spot. The tortillas and croquetas and delicious!
