London is one of our favorite destinations and especially in early Summer before it gets too hot, London is just the best. We spent a week at the end of May and it started out in the mid-60’s the first few days, then a few days in the 70’s, and we did end up being there for the start of a heat wave and got a couple days in the 80’s, so a pretty broad variety of weather. But overall, it’s so easy to spend time in London in any weather, though this might be my favorite time of the year in terms of temperature. Here’s everything I brought for what to wear in London in late May!
What to Pack:
- 1 Light rain coat – It is England after all and we had a few days of rain showers. Make sure it has a hood!
- 1 pair of walkable shoes + 1 pair of Loafers – I wore my platform Converse every day and then loafers for dinners.
- 1 pair of wide leg jeans – I wore these on and off through the trip and they are light and easy to go with whatever weather you have.
- 1 pair of linen pants – I wore my wide leg navy linen pants both for dinners and for the day.
- A variety of tops – I brought all short sleeve tops but then had a light jacket/sweater to throw on over.
- A light jacket or sweater – I brought my button up sweater/light jacket and used that to layer for the mornings.
- A jean jacket – I also brought a jean jacket and it was easy to have to go with everything.
- Light weight Cargos – I have black light weight cargos from Lululemon that go with me on most trips and they were perfect for morning coffee runs and casual days.
