On my route to finding the best small towns in the Pacific NW, Poulsbo in Washington State had long been on my list to visit. A little Norwegian enclave West of the Puget Sound, this small town feels like you’ve been transported to Norway. We visited as at the last stop on a day trip exploring Port Townsend and Port Gamble, and came through Poulsbo as we headed South to Tacoma.
This little town in definitely worth a stop to stroll through the shops and restaurants, stop for Norwegian bakery treats and wander down past the water and the harbor on a beautiful sunny day. Poulsbo is lovely and not as kich-ey as some of the other towns that try to be like European towns that I’ve visited and is well worth a visit!
